That wing is generating several hundred pounds of downforce at speed. Someone standing on it isn't going to make any difference.

Yeah, but the load of it is distributed across the entire beam. the upright should be fine, but that causes a way stronger bending moment in the beam than distributed negative lift.

I take that back, someone once told me that, because the engineers didn't quite understand aerodynamics fully, they thought the wing had to be that tall to avoid the wash from the rest of the car. Thinking about it, it didn't make much sense, so I read the wiki and it was to open the trunk. I guess they didn't think about putting the wing on the trunk. I am sorry for any harm I caused to the oppo community.
